I read this sort of writing (usually in self help books) when I was in my 20's. I had trouble believing it then and even more trouble believing it now.

In "The Big Picture" Dennis Littky writes on page 195
Martin Luther King Jr said "The time is always right to do what is right."
So... the time is NOW, NOW, NOW!
a little bit later on he urges us to
Imagine what your school would look like if the changes you imagine began to take hold. Live off that beauty and let it push you on.

    I think you'll find that the reality of what is happening in schools and the "fantasy" of what this book promotes is enough for anyone to be skeptical.

    Yes I noticed that Dennis Littky's school he talks about incessantly "The Met" has only 110 kids.
